78 countries covered
A clear, multilingual comparison of official packaging recycling and licence fees — country by country, material by material.
EPR Worldwide publishes packaging and related producer fees as a research reference. Every core figure is taken from the official tariff sheet, law or scheme document of the organisation responsible in that country — not from a secondary fee aggregator.
Countries organise producer responsibility differently. Where a national grid exists, we show it. Where only competing schemes publish their own lists, we label those figures as market references. Where nothing public exists, the table says so instead of inventing a national rate.
The overview covers 78 countries for household packaging. Open any country page for the source link, the verified “as of” date and the full published rows we transcribed.
Scheme websites are also scanned for tariff-like hints. Those hints stay clearly marked and never replace a curated core until someone has checked them against a primary document.
Linked source URLs are hashed weekly. A hash change is a signal to re-check the primary document — not a trigger to rewrite the database on its own.

Extended Producer Responsibility means producers pay for collection and recycling of products they place on the market — packaging, electronics, batteries, textiles and more. Fees usually go to a Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO).
A Producer Responsibility Organization (PRO) is the authorised take-back scheme that collects EPR fees and organises recycling for a given EPR. Some countries have one PRO; others have competing Pros.
France publishes a full statutory household-packaging grid (Citeo / Adelphe / Léko). Open the France country page for the core materials and the detailed tariff rows — including eco-modulation bonuses and maluses.
France packaging rates →Germany has no statutory €/kg table. Under VerpackG you register in LUCID, then licence with a competing dual system; per-kilogram fees stay in each system’s calculator. Public annual entry or minimum prices are not material tariffs. The Germany page lists authorised systems and the published minima we can cite — never a national material rate.
Germany explained →Open the packaging fee table, switch units (€/t or €/kg) if helpful, and open each country page for the published source. Always quote the official figure — our conversions are illustrative only.
Packaging table →Both. Some schemes publish per kg, others per tonne. The overview default converts everything to illustrative €/t (kg × 1,000 and a fixed FX). Always cite the published unit on the country page.
Statutory means a law, decree or designated body publishes one official grid. Market price means competing schemes set their own fees — we may show a published scheme sheet as a reference, never as the national rate. No tariff / quote-only means producers negotiate or use calculators with no static public €/kg table (Germany is the main example). Empty cells are intentional.
Eco-modulation adjusts the base fee up (malus) or down (bonus) for recyclability, recycled content, reuse or sorting performance. France’s household packaging grid is the clearest public example. Our calculator uses core material rates only — apply bonuses and maluses from the country detail rows on top.
France packaging rates →It multiplies core material rates by the weights you enter. Eco-modulation, composites outside the six cores and negotiated discounts are excluded — treat the result as a rough estimate.
Open calculator →Each country page shows a verified “as of” date for the source we last checked. We keep collecting and refreshing published fees on an ongoing basis. Treat this as a research reference and confirm against the official source before you file or invoice.
We collect and curate published EPR fees for each market. Every country page shows a verification date and links to the official source. Before filing or invoicing, confirm against that source.
Updates
Sort plastic (or any core) lowest-first for “cheapest worldwide” views, toggle units, and see the exact 2026 reference FX rates in the footnote.
We refresh published scheme figures in batches so market price hints stay current. Hints stay labelled until someone verifies them against a primary document.
Official tariff URLs are hashed every Monday. A hash change queues human review — curated core rates are only updated after that check.
